The seminar started with an introduction of Scottish Development International (SDI) activities in low-carbon investment by Simon Wallace, senior Renewable Sector Manager in SDI. Mr Xiaoping Jiao, Deputy Director General of China Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Fund gave a comprehensive overview on current CDM projects in China and the CDM fund. Finally, Arden Forsyth, an experienced banker in green investment from Arden Partner presented their successful financing cases for renewable companies in India. Following the presentation, there was an encouraging and pleasant discussion on how UK government supports low-carbon projects, especially for renewable energy development program, as well as the investment climate of introducing foreign investments in the UK’s energy market.
