Listen as he charts his professional life from his early days with Ford during the UK’s industrial turmoil in the 70’s, to leading Citicorp, turning around Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) and becoming Chairman of one of the world’s largest banks, Barclays, as it continues to feel the repercussions of global the financial crisis.

He says the complex, high-volume nature of modern banking has made the skilful use of technology a fundamental part of the financial world; creating both huge opportunities for banks to better serve customers, but also enormous challenges in responding to the growing threat of cyber-crime.
